Packing for Provence
(I was early in the second trimester, but hadn't yet announced my pregnancy yet)
You wouldn’t believe it, but I’m a minimalist when it comes to my wardrobe. I’ve been leaning toward a more neutral palette lately, in particular off-white and black. Maybe because it’s felt like a never ending winter in Paris and bright colours haven’t felt appropriate, but when I looked at my swimwear for our recent trip to Provence I didn’t feel like any of my pieces suited my current style and aesthetic.
My personal style is always evolving, which I love. Also, both of my boys were summer pregnancies and I have felt such a strong identity shift moving from Byron Bay to Paris. How I dress in one location is always different to another and also reflective of running around after two little ones, my work wardrobe, special occasions, and travel. I prefer not to dress for trends and in my 30s I now know what pieces and colours really work for me.
Below is a little capsule wardrobe of some of the pieces I recently wore in Provence and Cannes, or what l would love to invest in for summer, centred around more neutral tones.

Abadia Diana Two-Tone Satin GownÂ
Timeless and elegant, I loved how this dress made me feel when I wore it at Capelongue. The brand is committed to preserving the craftsmanship of the Arabian Peninsular evident through its strong and continuous partnerships with the artisan community. This dress by Abadia is also on my mind — it has sold out on their website, but they have a few pieces left on Net-a-Porter.
Faithfull Elea Bikini Top Black & Solaqua Elea Bikini Bottom BlackÂ
If you’re searching for a little black string bikini, this one is perfect. The cut is so flattering and works well under a linen set, heading to the pool.Â
Second Summer Andrea Embroidered Linen Shirt & Hacienda Linen ShortsÂ
I wore this linen set on repeat at Tuba. I have it in off-white as well as the black print. I love how a set makes you feel put together, yet is always so effortless.Â
Fendi Pequin Silk Skirt
An investment piece that would look incredible styled with a black bodysuit or tucked in shirt paired with sandals.Â
Nelson Made Juliette Sandal 4.0Â
I’ll be wearing these for many summers to come. They always sell out, but are available again for pre-order. I alternate between these and their Phoebe Flat in black every day.
Dr Barbara Sturm Glow CreamÂ
Very hydrating and a great moisturiser under makeup for fresh summer skin.Â
Alpha H Dawn to Dusk SPF 50+ Lightweight Serum
I’ve been very disciplined with my skincare routine lately, always taking off my makeup, and using a night creme with retinol for evenings. This has also helped ensure I wear SPF 50+ every day. This serum is part of my day time routine, blends so well and has a dewy finish.Â
Rationale #6 The Night Crème
This is my supercharged night crème that I use 1-2 times a week as my skin slowly adjusts to the complex of vitamin A.Â
Loewe Anagram Basket bag in raffia
I have this iconic bag in neutral raffia, but I’m really drawn to black woven bags this summer. I have also worn this hand woven leather chocolate one every day since it arrived.
Astier de Villatte Lila Vase
I saw this ceramic vase in Jogging in Marseille, and it is just so gorgeous. It’s handmade in Paris with with initials of the artisan who crafted it. I would fill our house with pieces from Astier de Villatte if I could, including a full dinner set. I also love their incense — Aoyama and Villa Médicis are our favourite scents.
Julietta x Cassetto JC4
I am always drawn to vintage inspired earrings, and love wearing clip ons. These are so beautiful and a great statement piece for the south of France. They are handmade in NYC and I wore them recently in Cannes.
Julietta x Cassetto JC2
This necklace as part of the same capsule collection with Cassette and is also on my wishlist.Â
Prada Monochrome Hyper Matte lipstick P58 - TamarisÂ
New in and such a pretty shade for summer. I always love their matte lipsticks, and the packaging is so stunning.Â
Acne Studios par Frederic Malle Eau de ParfumÂ
I haven’t stopped wearing this fragrance since it arrived. It will always remind me of spring/summer ’24. Bravo Acne Studios and Frederic Malle. Notes of peach, orange blossom, aldehyde and vanilla.Â
Loulou Studio Artemis Long Cotton Voile SkirtÂ
I’ve been searching for the perfect long white skirt for summer, and found this one in my size at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. It’s made from cotton and silk voile and is lightweight and ideal for warm summer days paired with a black maillot. I have also been wearing with my Sessei le Seconde Peau noir t-shirt over the top to achieve a dropped waist look. I love the fine pleat detail, and that it has a side zip (instead of an elastic waist) so it sits slightly lower on the hip. You can also find the black version here.Â
