Holiday Destination: Paris
Saasha's personal guide to exploring Paris in style: where to stay, find the best matcha, how to get a table at Loulou over summer, and cute playgrounds for little ones.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for trusting me with your Paris itinerary. It means so much that you see the value in my Paris guide, full of my personal favourite places to stay, eat, shop and explore — curated from more than a decade of visiting (and almost two years of living) in The City of Light.
It is important to note, there is so much intention when it comes to what isn’t included in the guide. Perhaps there are many places you’ve heard of and have been thinking of trying, wondering why they aren’t there? It’s not a complete list by any means, but our absolute favourites — the places we book when friends and family are in town, or head to again and again for a date night. It’s where we would spend our days if we only had a short time to explore Paris over spring/summer. You won’t be queuing up in a single line or waiting hours for a table, I promise.
For some context, we packed up our house in Australia and flew to Paris in June 2022, when Ocean was just eight weeks old and Atlas was two and a half. Paris has always been our favourite city, where my husband Sammy and I have spent months at a time, but it was the first time rediscovering the city with little ones. We’ve found Paris to be very welcoming of families, and there are many great playgrounds dotted around the city if you are on the lookout. I’ve also listed these in the guide.
Subscribers to Holiday House will receive access to the Paris guide (and some further insights and tips such as how to get a table at Loulou and a secret entrance for Musée du Louvre) as well as future travel guides. Next, I’ll be sharing our favourite places and hotels for the upcoming Europe summer. Also, if you have any further questions, there is a comments section and I would be more than happy to answer them for you.
I hope you have the best time in Paris and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Bisous x

There are also some little tips at the bottom, including my favourite spots to see the Eiffel Tower (without joining a crowd of tourists), and of course the Paris guide itself. Covering my most frequented arrondisements, you’ll find nine different itineraries of where to get coffee/matcha, have breakfast, what is nearby including galleries, parks, playgrounds, shops and where to have lunch, dinner, and drinks.
